Terms of service

Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This text describes how the system actually behaves, but it has not been checked against the law of any jurisdiction. Have a solicitor review it before launch.

The service

Tarn VPN provides encrypted tunnels through exit nodes we operate. Access lasts for the period you paid for.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to attack other systems, send spam, or distribute malware. We do not monitor your traffic, but we will act on credible abuse reports about traffic leaving our nodes, since that traffic threatens the service for everyone.

Account security

Your licence key is your account. Keep it somewhere safe: anyone holding it has access, and because we store no email address we cannot verify who you are or restore access if it is lost. Device keys are likewise shown once and never stored by us.

Availability

We aim for continuous service but do not guarantee it. Nodes are taken down for maintenance and networks fail.

Termination

We may suspend an account for serious abuse. You may stop using the service at any time; see the refund policy.

Liability

The service is provided as is. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the current subscription period.
